I love Leonid Afremov's painting with my quote, "Life's not about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain."
Viewing his video, I like it even more, because as an artist and writer, I too have experienced the loss of my life's work at the hands of vandals, child labor in slave like conditions making precious dolls of my design, and believe it or not - in America - my Kisses comic strip was canceled because a black girl held her white freind's hand (1976).
I was refused entry into an orthodox synogauge on Yom Kippur because of the length of my sleeves.
All of this is food for art, and as a great wisdom teacher once told me - the closer you are to God, the bigger the threat you are to the darkness.
Creativity connects us to the Creator.
